This project stretched over a couple of months, as there was always ‘something’ missing to continue. Originally I planned to only use leftover timber from our house building process, but once the foundations were finished, I realized I’d need to buy at least a few studs and cladding timber. Then it hit me that I don’t have a ladder to get the roof up. Later on I wanted it to be in the same color as our house, so I also had to buy some cladding oil and roof paint and then I couldn’t cut the long side of the panels with my mitre saw so I had to get a circular hand saw too. Ultimately the door was delayed by a couple more weeks because I had to go to Nelson Mitre 10 to find a nice door lock and hinges. Total project time: More than 3 months. But it’s finished now!
