Autumn holidays! Day 3: Te Ika-a-Māui (Zealandia, Downtown, Otari-Wilton’s Bush, Mt. Vic) Schnitzel April 20, 2016 Welcome to the North Island! Our first day in Wellington we spent mostly at Zealandia, had a walk through the Cuba Street District, drove to have a look from Mt Victoria and visited the Brooklyn wind turbine. Karori lower dam water supply (former). Zealandia is a sanctuary for birds by the city, a real attraction for bird and nature lovers. 75% Familyphoto. Can you spot the geckos? Here it is :) Upper dam. What did she spot? A Tui! Kākā. Tuatara. Cuba Street. Open house at the Souvenirshop. Fussgaengerzone. Beautiful yellow busses. And colorful toilets. … and fountains. Lovely Welly. Verena the leaning streetkid. Graffittistreet. The dragon at the crossing. Big trees at the Otari-Wilton’s Bush. The Wellington harbour from Mt Victoria. The Familycannon. Pouwhenua of Mt Victoria. More cannon. And someone is always slipping off. Always the same someone … :) Inner city from above in setting sunlight. After dinner at Dragons. Digestive walk. Funny lightpatterns have always been fascinating me topped only by something mirrored in a lake (or the sea, in this case) Schnitzel Donations in form of Darbo Preiselbeer Kompott are greatly appreciated ;)
