Moving a tiny car in the belly of one of these giant sea monsters is a timeconsuming feat. Lining up one hour prior to departure, then eating the previously picked up breakfast (very clever) while talking to a nice guy from DOC about didymo algae, moving over ramps, parking very, very close to the others and then leaving everything behind to not be the last person looking for a table with socket underneath at the passenger decks. Then – three hours of talking, reading, eating and not getting seasick – until arrival in Wellington, where it basically takes another hour for leaving the monster (unharmed, just a little dizzy).
