I guess we have to call ourselves ‘lucky’ because we’ve found a house to rent just next to our piece of (empty) land. The owners moved overseas and we were there to ask just in time. But it was totally empty and all our furniture was still in the ship container. Fortunately the container was delivered to our site exactly the same day when we returned from our holidays. :) We had a long busy afternoon and evening sorting boxes and moving a minimum of furniture and kitchen equipment to the rental house by our car.
