Cape Palliser was a beautiful trip, but it was only midday – and we’ll never have it the easy way in our holidays! That’s what I thought when we started to explore the Putangirua Scenic Reserve, but then, I got my easy way: There are two paths to the pinnacles, one hillwalk to have a view from above and one riverbed walk, access through the valley (and we chose the second, phew). 1,5 hours return was a very optimistic guess by the DOC though, we needed more time.
