An overcast day with drizzle, still good for a walk. The “old” towncenter of Oamaru with the crafts shops is well preserved and the old lofts and shops all belong to artisans who show their skills and on the way out you can buy the pieces. Nice, but I really couldn’t get rid of that tourist-trap smell that lingers there, everywhere. It’s a pity that the personal touch, that humour and cheerfulness hat can be found all around NZ in non touristic areas vanishes as soon as the touristic dollar rolls.
Exploring the sourroundings and looking for a path down to the beach.
Dinner :)
