Holidays! The last school day on Friday was perfect, Verena had her goodbyes at the kindy, they received their last story, sung their last song, got a beautiful candle and walked through the wooden flower arc … the tearful eyes of the watching parents were clear evidence to the importance of the ritual, every mom/dad lent a hand to their child while crossing below the arc. Everybody was very proud of how big they have become over the years, and the kids with their glowing eyes were proud of their achievements and “to be class 1” in February. Anna’s day was not so much about change that about finally becoming part of a community, sharing their last songs withing class 2/3 and of course the big holiday-rush!
From now on we’ll be on our way around the South Island, following the sunshine as much as possible from coast to coast. Let’s hope for some dry weeks :)
