There are just two ways to do Christmas this year:
– baking cookies, listening to X-mas music (and NZers seem to have a weird taste when it comes to that), buying a tree when everybody else does (at the beginning of December), put a lot of plastic on it or
– ignore tradition completely, buy four red Santa caps and have barbecue at some beach
… I tend to have the latter :)
However, it didn’t keep us from watching a Santa Parade in Richmond yesterday, the weather stayed beautiful, some Santa’s helpers were distributing water and sunscreen, followed by heaps of advertising, candy, masquerade and, of course, Santa Claus himself :D
